Coffee Chat w/Mohamed al-Tajer: Human Rights Attorney from Bahrain
When: 4 PM
Where: Georgetown University Law Center, Hotung 2000
Join us for a casual conversation on human rights and the judicial process in Bahrain with Mohamed al-Tajer. Mr. al-Tajer, a human rights attorney, was arrested by Bahraini police officers and was held in incommunicado detention, with no access to his lawyer or family, for more than five weeks. The Government of Bahrain charged him with publicly inciting hatred of the system of government in Bahrain and spreading malicious news and propaganda for his human rights work.

Join ADHRB and the Ethics, Peace & Global Affairs Program at the American University School of International Service for a photo exhibit featuring letters from Child prisoners in Bahrain. We will be writing letters to the Bahraini King on behalf of the children.

Join ADHRB and Amnesty MENA DC to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the Bahrain pro-democracy movement. Human rights violations continue in Bahrain even years later and the number of political prisoners is on the rise. It’s time to remind the world that the struggle of the Bahraini people for their basic rights is an ongoing one.
