Americans for Democracy and Human Rights in Bahrain (ADHRB) in cooperation with International Federation for Human Rights Leagues (FIDH) and World Organization Against Torture (OMCT) put forth a Joint Submission to Saudi Arabia’s 3rd Universal Periodic Review. In this report ADHRB, and FIDH assess the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s implementation of its 2nd Cycle Universal Periodic Review recommendations. In particular the report focuses the implementation of protecting and promoting women’s rights, on human rights defenders and the kingdom’s counter-terror legislation which is used to target human rights defenders, and the government’s use of torture against imprisoned activists and dissidents.
