Americans for Democracy & Human Rights (ADHRB) in cooperation with International Service for Human Rights (ISHR), Gulf Center for Human Rights (GCHR), and the International Federation of Human Rights (FIDH) have put forth a Joint Submission to Saudi Arabia’s 3rd Universal Periodic Review (UPR). This joint submission highlights the risks that human right defenders face within the kingdom. It recommends that Saudi Arabia repeals their laws such as their 2017 Penal Law for Crimes of Terrorism and its Financing and the 2007 Anti-Cyber Crime Law that limit the activities and rights of human right defenders.
