15 NGOs Write Letter to Amal Clooney Regarding Restrictions on Press Freedoms in Bahrain

8 August 2019 — Americans for Democracy & Human Rights in Bahrain (ADHRB) along with 14 other NGOs wrote a joint letter to Amal Clooney regarding the severe restrictions of freedom of expression and press freedom in Bahrain. The letter highlighted the case of seven journalists having their citizenship revoked since 2011 as well as Bahrain’s shameful ranking on the Reporters without Borders Press Freedom Index for 2019, which is 167th out of 180 countries.
